By accessing or using Taffy at taffysearch.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Taffy, operated by Arun Agrahri ("we," "us," or "our").
Taffy turns YouTube channels into searchable knowledge bases. We ingest publicly available YouTube transcripts and comments, process them with AI, and let you search, chat with, and analyze channel content. The Service includes:
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account using Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it.
The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete such information.
Taffy offers the following subscription plans:
All paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. If we change the price of your subscription, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before the new price takes effect. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
All charges for the current billing cycle are non-refundable.
When you subscribe, we immediately begin processing your YouTube channel data. This involves significant computational resources including transcript extraction, comment analysis, embedding generation, and AI-powered insight creation. These costs are incurred the moment processing begins and cannot be recovered.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to all features until the end of the period you have already paid for. No partial or prorated refunds will be issued for the remaining time in a billing cycle.
By subscribing, you acknowledge and agree that the data processing costs associated with your account are non-recoverable, and that no refund will be provided for any billing cycle in which channel processing has been initiated.
Taffy uses publicly available data from YouTube, including video transcripts, comments, and channel metadata. We do not access private or unlisted content. Chat and analysis features are only available for public YouTube channels.
All YouTube content displayed through Taffy is attributed to the original creators and channels. We do not claim ownership of any YouTube content. Our analysis, insights, and summaries are derivative works generated by our AI systems based on this public data.
If you are a YouTube creator and wish to have your channel removed from Taffy, please email us at [email protected] with your channel details. We will review and process removal requests on a case-by-case basis.
API and MCP access is available on the Pro plan. By using the API, you agree to the following additional terms:
All content generated by Taffy -- including analysis, insights, reports, chat responses, featured channel breakdowns, and research guides -- is the intellectual property of Taffy. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use these outputs for your personal or business purposes.
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service, such as search queries and chat messages. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, process, and store that content as necessary to provide and improve the Service.
Taffy uses artificial intelligence to analyze YouTube content and generate insights, summaries, and chat responses. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, errors, or omissions. You should independently verify any information obtained through the Service before relying on it for important decisions. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, for any reason, with or without notice. This includes, but is not limited to, violations of these Terms, abusive behavior, or activities that we determine to be harmful to the Service or other users.
Upon termination, your right to access the Service will immediately cease. Any fees already paid are non-refundable. We may delete your account data, including chat history, within a reasonable time after termination.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF ANY CONTENT OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TAFFY BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered in the State of Delaware, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Taffy.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice for material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
