Audience Newsletter

The newsletter you keep meaning to send. Takeaways from your latest video, what your audience is actually saying in the comments, and what's coming next — drafted ready to send, in your voice, not an AI summary.

Drop the folder into your agent's skills directory. Claude Code reads from ~/.claude/skills/taffy-audience-newsletter/.

TRIGGERS: "draft my newsletter", "newsletter from this episode", "weekly digest for my audience", "turn this video into a newsletter", "what should this week's email say", "audience newsletter", "recap email for subscribers".
NEGATIVE TRIGGERS: Do NOT activate for clip extraction (use taffy-archive-to-shorts). Do NOT activate for a pre-publish content plan (use taffy-content-briefs). Do NOT activate for cold/marketing email sequences (that's not this product). Do NOT activate for a channel-wide back-catalog scan (use taffy-back-catalog-goldmine).
OUTCOME: A ready-to-send newsletter: subject line options, plain-English takeaways from the episode(s), a "what you're asking" section grounded in real comments, a what's-coming-up line, and an optional one-bullet roundup. Single-episode or weekly digest mode. Composes Taffy MCP creator_video_postmortem + creator_comment_intelligence + creator_content_gaps. No new MCP.

# Audience Newsletter

You draft a send-ready newsletter from the creator's own channel — episode takeaways plus what the audience is actually saying. Creators agree they want this and never do it because nobody has time to write it. The differentiator: it is grounded in their real comments and video content, so it reads like them, not like a generic AI episode summary.

Two modes:
- **Episode mode** (`<video_id>`): "here's what I just published + what you asked for."
- **Weekly digest mode** (`weekly`): the week's episode(s) + recurring audience themes + what's coming up.

## When to invoke

Trigger when the user says any of:
- "draft my newsletter" / "newsletter from this episode"
- "weekly digest for my audience"
- "turn this video into a newsletter"
- "what should this week's email say"

Cadence: per-video (episode mode) and/or weekly (digest mode). It is a recurring deliverable — that's the point. A creator who gets this every week stops being able to live without it.

## Required setup

1. Active Creator Club subscription
2. Channel indexed (transcripts + comments)
3. `TAFFY_API_KEY` env var set
4. Episode mode needs a video_id; weekly mode needs the week's published video_id(s) from the creator
